The Women of the Church did not meet during the
month of April as so many members were out of town during that time. But not to
fear, we do plan on getting back together again on May 16th at our
usual 1 PM time at our PALS church. The women did manage to stuff well over 200
plastic eggs for the Easter egg hunt held on PALS grounds with Soul Purpose
church. A thank you goes out to all the women who helped with that project.
Another thank-you goes out to Betty and Dooney Messick for the new boxwoods that were planted in the front
of the church. They not only donated the plants but also had them planted. And
they look WONDERFUL!! I am sure that this group of women will find some other
project to focus our efforts. And I’m sure Liv Hauge will be there leading us
in a Bible study. So, come on out women and join this wonderful group. We
welcome all ages.

We are now concluding our study in
the Book of MARK, continuing with Mark 15:1-, where we read of the time Jesus
is judged guilty by the High Priest and Sanhedrin. We read how very illegal
according to Roman rule this trial was. We will see who was involved in this
event, i.e. Pilate, Barabbas. Jesus
stands alone at his trial. His silence and composure condemn both the Jewish
and Gentile rulers who fail to do what they know is
right. Of all the people involved in the
trials, only Jesus remains in control of himself and
does what is right.
For the month of May we will be
studying about Jesus’ crucifixion, burial, and resurrection. The fact that Jesus
did rise from death becomes the major theme of the early church’s message.
NOTE: If there are two are 2 or more
present, I will come up from Fredericksburg for the afternoon. Those who have
expressed an interest to date are: Connie Guerra, Barbara Cross and Sharon
Hakanen. We will be looking at what our plans for study will be after we
have finished with MARK. All are welcome to be a part of this group.
The Word of God (Bible) has been
penned by man; but the content inspired by the Living Holy Spirit. This Word is
His gift to all of us, so that we might know who He is, was and will be. His
name is “I AM.” He is in our Present Moments. Come and learn of His love for
